XYZ-Wing
Like XY-Wing, but the pivot keeps a third candidate — so the elimination needs cells that see all three.
How it works
- 1The pivot has three candidates {x,y,z}; the two wings have {x,z} and {y,z} and both see the pivot.
- 2One of the three cells must be z, but this time the pivot itself is a candidate for it.
- 3So the elimination only holds for cells that see all three — pivot included. Strike z there.
